Replace it, please."
Yeah, its total BS that HTC claims to support the dev community, but will not stand behind their product for something like a hardware defect if the BL is unlocked.

Android simply doesn't work that way. You have to deliberately download and install the OTA for it to happen. Hence my joke earlier in the thread about ninjas sneaking into your house and stealing root.

Yeah, it's just since downloading the update, I noticed this ominous, "android is upgrading" message before the lock screen on a restart.

Could that be from altering permission on system apps? FM radio, flashlight, etc?

Ps. I accidentally downloaded update and it would not let me cancel download for anything once it started. I bet if I'd wanted the update, I would have been that guy setting his clock forward every half an hour in an attempt download again.

That's not the OS updating. That's the Dalvik cache being updated. And yes, I believe that changing permissions on systems apps will cause this.

Just let it finish downloading. Once its done, the phone will ask you if you want to install. Just choose the option not to. The update file will still be on the internal SD, and you can just delete it.

Yeah, I uploaded the update to dropbox and deleted it from internal SD.

Thanks for clearing that up. Like I said, I wasn't sure if there actually were ninjas present in my dalvik cache trying to burgle my root haha
