Thank you for this good explain, now i can use my s3 my way! not samsungs way!

Worked perfect for my i9305!
You're welcome. Its easy right? Apps itself don't hog as much data as the games data so Directory Bind IMO is the perfect solution.

Just an FYI on this subject - the husband and I just discovered this issue today. I have an SGSIII, but he has a Droid MAXX HD and it's experiencing the same issue, unable to add *any* apps to the external SD card. So it doesn't seem to be related to *just* Samsung, but perhaps it's still a manufacturer limitation...

Hi, here is screenshot when I install the the game Bard's Tale, it used to say I could choose sd1 and sd2 to install, seems after an update they change the screen option, but it still clearly detects a expansion (external SD) on my S3 international version for me to install the 1.7 gb or the 3.5 GB data file, so it is possible for developers to have data files installed on the external SD of a S3, if they can do it, so should others like Gameloft.

Default Same problem Here

I have the SIII mini (no forum for it so posting here).

I have tried several app such as appManager, astro file manager an the old app2SD and none allow you move the Gigs of data (such as the copilot 2GB of maps) to the SD card. This would appear to be an astronomical step backwards for Android, as I used this feature on every app on my old 2.3.3. device. I purchased a super fast 32GB SD card, and cant use it. I could cry. This is enough to push me to Apple.

I have been unable to find any postings on why Google would make such a seemingly ludicrous step backwards. In fact I would go so far as to say I cant see a single improvement over 2.3.3. I am pretty amazed that I cant find any feature difference between 2.3.3 and 4.1 except that they have crippled the internal memory by stopping use of SD cards.

If I had known about this limitation, i would never have bought a phone with only 8GB (which only had 4GB free).
