rngd service

Quarx, I think you've made a typo a couple of times...;)

rngd : http://linux.die.net/man/8/rngd
I'm guessing rngd is supposed to stand for random number generator - device. So we should now be making use of the hardware random number generator on the OMAP 3.

I'm not sure exactly where this will improve performance. Definitely in anywhere that uses encryption, provided that the service is used. I suppose maybe some hashing, compression...

Thanks, Quarx, for all your work :good:

but not performance of camera.
I guess rngd and camera patches are unrelated. This is the camera patch:

Meh.. I don't know about this IO Scheduler optimization stuff. I'll admit it's a complicated problem and I'm not a Linux kernel engineer or anything, but it seems a bit like fool's gold. The flash memory in most smartphones is well... pretty crap.. cheap eMMC stuff. You can optimize the IO but only make so much out of what you've got.

From the Seeder thread: "There has been a large amount of speculation on why/if this actually improves performance on ICS+ devices."

But yeah, nice to have but don't expect miracles. Now these camera improvements look potentially more concrete...

I appreciate some of the comments here about the difficulty of keeping threads like this cleaned and organized, especially with so many users not following instructions. However, this is the job I signed up for, so it's not a big deal. :)

That being said, since nothing else seems to be working, I'm going to temporarily close this to force people to use the other support threads for this ROM. If you have a legitimate bug to report and serious question that needs answering, use the support threads (an absolute last resort would be PMing the developer). This will be reopened at the appropriate time.

Demo build is uploaded for everyone.;)

Android 4.2 has new libc/linker, which breaks compatibility with old moto binaries. Need some time to fix it:)
And i think, better discuss 4.2 in different thread.
