I had the exact same issue last night. I flashed back to this after having some issues originally with it on Saturday locking up and had to restore. Last night I rebooted because I wasn't getting text messages I knew I should be, got the Google screen as well. After screwing with it for over an hour, wiping and wiping and super wiping and flashing this ROM, it booted, right back where it was with all my data entact. I'm going to factory restore today and flash CM9 back until an AOSP ROM comes out and people figure out wtf is going on with the /data mounting and not mounting when it feels like it.

I'm confused. My phone was stuck at Google on v7. Had no major issues before today. So I wiped data factory reset, flash v8. Loads after a battery pull,

nothing was erased except mms theme and Gmail.....?!?!
