persistent syncc icon, battery drain

I just noticed this morning that the sync icon on my status bar is there, and I can't make it go away, Also, I noticed that my phone won't go to deep sleep after this started happening, thus causing bad battery drain. i already tried clearing the cache/dalvik and it still won't dissapear. i am currently running cleanrom 4.1 LE. thanks for the help guys.

Do you have Facebook installed? If you do, go into accounts and sync and make sure you have syncing off for it. FB was causing the same issue for me a while back, as soon as I disabled FB syncing, problem went away.

same here. more specifically syncing the "live feed" from fb. did it fix your problem?

Yep, live feed was the culprit.
