SONY started to patch CVE-2014-3153, so all root tools using CVE-2014-3153 won't work on the firmware released after August 2014.
Damn! Worked like a charm on my Tablet Z2.
Thanks a lot for this tool
Could you post your system version?
Because I am rooted but not sure if the latest Z2 tablet update is rootable!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
I have teamwin recovery project v2.7.0.0 on my rooted phone.
1. if I update to official firmware 14.4.a.0.108 will I loose my recovery?
2. if then I root using v12 of easy root will I regain access to my recovery or will I have to do what you suggest after rooting in first posts.
Trying this root method but have been stuck on cleaning up for about 5 minutes. Any ideas?

I used the method in the first thread in your signature. But now I wanted to update to 108 fwHow did you install the recovery? Note that if you're using a custom kernel, you don't need to use this tool.
Which FW you were on? Thanks.Damn! Worked like a charm on my Tablet Z2.
Thanks a lot for this tool

Probably depends on your firmware version.Does this method work for Xperia Z1 C6902 4.4.4? has anyone tried it?
.
.
.
- Make sure device is connected
- Make sure USB-debugging is enabled
- Make sure no Sony PC Companion or other Sony software is running
- Make sure you have adb drivers installed (Example)
- Make sure the computer is permanently authorized for connection on the phone (you get a dialog the first time you connect)
.
- Flash factory firmware in flashtool. Exclude everything except system. No need to wipe anything.
- Yes. You 'might' have to reinstall SuperSU though (depending on the installation method).
Did you use the SuperSU from market? Because it's a known issue this SuperSU can not update binary. Use latest one from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/447/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip
