working on more of an experimental build atm the aosp launcher works 100 percent without error aosp mms works aosp phone and contacts im still working out the bugs to. Once i get them figured out i can work on remove the rest of touch wiz from the framework and removing tw framework all together. These are from my personal build of aosp

push means to use some root explorer like E.S File Explorer to access root directories. Then copy that apk file from your sdcard to system/app
to get to root directories in e.s file explorer, goto menu->settings scroll down, check Up to Root option, scroll down a little bit more, check Root Explorer(choose Yes for prompt), also check Mount File Sytem
After getting out of settings, press back button twice and you will see system directory.

I see white on white thing usually on changelogs and about us things in apps. Moreover, you can see it if you press "Problems?" button in titanium backup. Or in e.s file explorer settings, click on Root Explorer check.
Welllllllll... I tried to do EXACTLY what capcanuck said and I still cant get the theme to stick. I get my phone vibrating like crazy when booting up. And them I get a black screen with all 4 screen buttons lit up. Then shuts down.

It's there for me. Are you trying to access it as a homescreen shortcut? If so try from the app drawer. I find some homescreen shortcuts I need to delete, and add back.
I tried manually searching for the application but could not find it anywhere. I did to restore my backup from the nandroid back backup, would that have messed up something?

Bad flash, just try again. Happened to me twice on Rc6 and once on Eugene's cm7 with perfect wipes. Sometimes it won't take and requires you to do it again.
It's not the rom, its our temperamental phones.

I am getting really frustrated with it freezing up when I choose to reboot. I did the wipe and permissions to no avail. I even used quick boot but it just sits there....Any other recommendations are greatly appreciated....btw I searched....

Just flashed RC7 and it appears that Exchange is once again broken. I can't clear the email data since there isn't anything there -- this worked for RC6. When I try and open email or add an Exchange account, it just says that the app stopped responding after a minute.
Also, as with RC6, GPS doesn't function (for me). Maps and nav just say waiting for location and then say it failed. Is this just me?

Make a nandroid and then restore it. I know it sounds weird, but it fixes a few things including reboot and shutdown.

Yea bro. I even downloaded em both and tried both. No go for me. I love this ROM and would kicklflip a rooftop to get the extra goodies...lol...wait..already did that...lol. Any thoughts? If you can pm some ideas so i dont ruin this thread...lol

My speeds are horrible, showing 512 kb down with Speedtest.net on a 3 mbps dsl.

Q&A Thread Here19experimental 9 should be out later in the evening finally got rid of all of touch wiz reduced the size down from 200+ mb down to about 120 mb or so ya de wizzing everything does that its now full aosp experience fixing some camera issues and battery notification issues and adding the ability to change lock screens etc not a bad way to spend a 24 hour code fest. Also joe from the skyrocket dev threads will be jumping on board to help me iron out some more issues.
camera works panorama does not recording does not but i hope with joes help we can iron it out if not ill have some workaround for it.
other then that all other functionality do seem to work as intended
You will have to add your apn in to get it to see the tmobile network Reason for this is that way skyrocket users can flash and just add there apn so its pretty universal
yawn im exausted lol being a 1 person team can be tiresome.
