A few things.. as per the Quick Reply, try setting the theme in Mms to Dark, it seems this is an issue w/ the regular white theme and The real dark slim toggle.

Gmail garble is a known issue & something we're looking into for the next build.

Not sure about the widgets issue, I've never seen that happen before personally. You're just using stock?

Permissions are permissions, we don't control them in any way whatsoever. Maybe you just never noticed before, or maybe it's because of hte new gapps package but that app has always required those permissions.

Ok cool! Thanks for the response. Yes, I am running stock except for your modified kernel. It appears that the shortcuts are left aligned, like when I remove all but one shortcut it's along the left hand side.

Does build 2 fix the weird hardware buttons randomly changing function issue from build 1? I'm on build 1 and after the phone has been on a while any way you touch the home button it opens the recent apps, any way you touch the menu it opens some google Now thing, and the back button works, after a bit more time the back button stops working. A standard restart fixes it for a while.

so far i havent experienced this issue. the only issues ive had is the inability to create a new pandora station (same problem in previous slim versions) and the google maps navigation issues. i dont know yet if the nav issues are just me or a rom problem as only one person has commented about it in an way that doesn't really answer me.

ok so following the instructions from the slimrom website for bug reporting i did a fresh install with gapps only. no data recovered. downloaded from the playstore google maps and catlog app. ran navigation on the way home from work while running catlog app. navi is still still acting up and i have it recorded on a big log file because there really isnt a set time it starts messing up. its too big to upload in txt format so i zipped it. i really like this rom but i drive around a lot and i use navi a lot so it would be awesome if this could get worked out. thanks!

Thanks lvlonkey, I just checked it out. Just to clarify, you're using the stock kernel included in the ROM? What's happening is you're going out of memory and android is killing off Navigation.

Also, which gapps package are you using?

EDIT: Also do you have TRDS toggled on or off?

Stock everything. Just the gapps package, first one on the download page I think. I didn't mess with the settings so I don't remember if trds was toggled. It was in the default just flashed position. Thanks for checking it out!

Still having navigation issues on the latest 2.5 release. Fresh install. Anybody else have a problem with google maps navigation crashing? It doesn't happen right away can someone else check?

Re: [ROM][4.2.2][March 22] Slim Bean-d2tmobile [build 2.5]

The choice was not to update because of random freezing...

This. We tested 3.4 for days and, like mentioned in the cm threads, was very unstable with freezes and new issues.

We'll upgrade to 3.4 when it's stable. It's not an upgrade if it introduces regression issues and introduces more problems, even if 3.4 is a larger number than 3.0.

heard it was a mpdecision issue in system/bin folder

I am running latest cm nightlies with my own kernel built off cm. after deleting mpdecision from bin folder.. Freezing disappeared

reference: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=39459781&postcount=2051

I know a larger number means nothing but Kernel has got a serious upgrade and restructured.

    Build 4.1

    SlimBean 4.2.2 build 4.1

I know we normally don't do this kind of thing, but given the circumstances with the CM display updates and the fact that new kernels would not be compatible with build 4, we pushed an update to address that. You shouldn't have to do a full wipe to upgrade from 4 to 4.1. Obviously if you have nutty issues then wipe, reproduce & let me know.

    Changes:
    • Display and Audio CAF updates (CM)
    • Loads of kernel updates
    • SlimIRC nickname pop-up fix
    - Download build 4.1

I've also been providing you guys with an "addon" kernel. It's based entirely off CM's stock kernel with a few extras. The build 4.1 addon kernel has the following:
    • Latest CM changes as of 04/20
    • Minimum 192mhz frequency
    • Added governors: wheatley, lulzactive, dancedance
    • USB fastcharge
    • Vibration control (Settings -> Performance -> Vibration Strength)
    • Faux sound control
    • morfic/trinity colors
It's a kernel for people who don't want anything too fancy, just a little something extra.

    - Download build 4.1 addon kernel

The source is on my github here. Thanks to ktoonsez and GideonX!

Hey guys, if you're suffering from flickering here's a flashable zip fix. This zip is supplementary to the 4.2 build and only replaces your build.prop -- it is not a full ROM.
