[Q] Question about Device Encryption and Roms for HTC One?
I have a t-mobile HTC One. My job has google apps/gmail for our email service and to connect to it they have a policy in place via google policy device manager to force android device encryption if you connect to it. And I must have my work email on my phone.
I hate the stock 4.2.1 that came with my HTC One (for all the reasons everyone hates it) so I rooted it and tried a few roms. I really liked Maximus and Android Revolution roms based on 4.3 but my problem is that everytime there is an update to the rom I am unable to install it without wiping the device first due to the device encryption. Its a big pain because there is an update almost weekly.
Is there anyway that anyone knows of that I can run any rom with the android device encryption so I wont have this issue? I have looked at TWRP and it seems they have the feature to access encrypted devices built into the nexus version but not the M7 HTC One so I am at a road block with that and I am thinking I have to give up on roms..
If I cant use a rom I am considering going to either the converting to a 4.3 Google Play Edition or trying to load the factory unrooted 4.3 sense based ruu.
Does anyone out there have any experience with device encryption?
