Please, one of my phones is an LG Optimus One! And it is very good! People from its forum got camera, video and panorama working almost perfect on CM10! In fact, that ROM is almost perfect and, for that old hardware, it is a good thing!!! They are planning to get Google Now working on ARMv6, it is not impossible! So, PLEASE, DO NOT BLAME LG, BECAUSE IF YOU DO THIS, YOU BLAME PEOPLE WHO ARE WORKING HERE FOR THESE PHONES! As soon as they got it working on ARMv6, I will note you! :good:
I clearly said "an LG flip phone" not anything even close to an Optimus One. I don't care how far development is coming along. I think LG is a crappy brand of phone. No matter, you're LG fanboy-ish post doesn't belong in here. We're discussing Google Now, not some low end LG phone. If you have a Google Now issue, report it here, otherwise stick to your own forum with these posts.

Hey so I flashed one, it didn't work, and then I went to go flash the go back to stock ZIP and now Speech to Text keeps crashing (like I don't even do anything and it will crash, slowing down my phone and sometimes freezing it) and I cannot open Voice Search. It will freeze my phone and crash. I downloaded the M7 Now ZIP, and then downloaded the Google Now to Google Search ZIP. How do I fix it?
Mandated info: Android 4.0.3 stock AT&T Samsung Galaxy SII update, TouchWiz UI, CWM Recovery, and I don't know what a logcat is so it's kinda hard to give that. \
Thanks!
Hey look, yet another moron who can't read directions....

I'm using the "almost there" zip, and I've been messing with it a lot lately, and I noticed that most of the time it doesn't even respond when I say "Google," and even when it does, it recognized what I then say, but nothing pops up. It only seems to do it with voice prompts.
That's a much older version. I'd suggest trying out the newest M7 release of Google Now.

I've successfully installed Google Now on my HTC Glacier with Dark Unicorn Resurrected V2.5 and it both recognizes voice input and speaks results for many questions. For instance if I ask what the high temperature will be today it will speak the answer.
It doesn't speak the output for many questions that have voice output on Google's demo video or some of the answers that are spoken in Youtube installation and use videos of this mod on ICS. For instance in one video Google is asked to "Give me the cast of Friends" and responds by speaking the name of all cast members. When I ask exactly the same question I get an onscreen list but no spoken response. This occurs for various other searches I've tried.
Another function that doesn't work is the "play" command. When I say "Play <song>" it does a Google search on the song title instead of playing it.
This is by no means a big deal but I'm wondering if I missed something. Or does this implementation of Google Search simply function differently from installation to installation?
Thanks much for making this available.
Someone previously mentioned that "Play" didn't work all the time, but "Listen to [track name]" worked every time. Try that.
As for the searching issue, it happens to everyone. It happens to some more than others. There's no real fix for it. It's one of the quirks that comes with a modded app like this.

hello first of all thanks for all the hard work u guys been doing in this project.
installed v7 in my e4gt and google now opens fine. but the only card working is the weather, and other command it just search in google.
cant search nor call to contacts.
also any way to increase the volume of the g-now voice? i dont hear it at all i just hear a wisper
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
It doesn't search contacts. To get it to recognize strange names, add a nickname field to that contact with the phonetic spelling of their name. (I guess I'll add this one to the troubleshooting guide...)
I think the GN voice is tied to the system media volume, but I might be mistaken. Make sure all of your volume levels are up in the Settings > Sounds menu.

Please help me. I can't launch Google Now. :crying:
I've downloaded mikeyxda's version 7 (Online + Offline) and flashed it. But in /system/usr/srec/ I just have the folder "config" and not "en-US".
When I launch the app, there is a little 'bip' but the app close automatically after that.
For information: I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v running Rs Supremacy v1.5, it's a ROM based on CM9...
What does it say in big ass bold letters at the top of my post, huh? If you missed that warning, then I don't feel bad for you at all. Learn to read before you try this again. Putting your phone in a blender would be a better use for it, and more suited to your technical expertise.

Same problem here, I know that this hacked version hasnt have language limitiation, so i tried to flash it on JB. Google Now works fully after that, but I cant scroll through cards too. Can you tell me which version works for you, and on which device and rom are you? Im on SGS2, CM10 (JB), Syiah kernel. ¨
Thanks for the reply :good:
Find another place to discuss flashing the wrong software on the wrong OS version. This is about ICS Google Now.
