I can't get this to mute on my TP2. I installed, reset, and even tried the "If it doesn't work" instructions in the first post.
When I place the device face down, the screen turns off promptly but the phone still rings audibly. I tried turning off the screen switch, thinking maybe the phone was shutting off before Flip2Mute had a chance to do its thing but it didn't matter.
I have turned off Sense and am using the classic WinMo today screen - does that matter? Should the phone vibrate briefly when the phone is flipped?
