3.5 will be having the following:
1. JPP modem with 850 enabled by default(greatly improves GPS)
2. Working home haptic feedback
3. A wipe and a "real" no wipe version.
first off, excellent work adam and team phoenix.. I've been reading this thread since post one... i don't kid when i say that i'm addicted to it!! well, the OP did mention something about the ROM being addictive LOL keep up the great work guys..
just had one question about 3.5.. will it be running the new FireBird 2.0?
love the ROM can't wait to try 3.5
Quick question: will 3.5 be using FireBird 2.0 kernel? I think DG's got it out for testing.
PS: Adam you're an inspiration
Absolutely loving 3.0...this just gets better and better every release! Nice work to all involved!
I do have a question though. Is it just me or does the "thumb and index finger" pinch/zoom on the browser not work? I swore it did on Eclair...
Version 3.5 will be running the JPP modem. I know some do not get great results with that modem in regards to ul/dl speeds but boy do I get great GPS when paired with the GPS cocktail I chose to implement. I tested a fresh install of 3.5(haha) and the first lock took six seconds(in my house) and the first and second tracking sessions were flawless(yes network assistance was turned off ). It is very easy to flash an alternate modem. I will not be putting out an alternate release with a different modem. Just an FYI.
Seems like it would make more sense to release a modem that works for EVERYONE then let the few people who want to go through the trouble of getting jpp do the extra work instead of vice versa...some people that flash roms have enough trouble doing that why make it more complicated for them?

Weird problem that started last night...
In the notification bar I am getting the two arrows in a circle implying something is syncing. It stayed on all night and my battery was down from 100 to 79 with WIFI being almost all of it. I have gone into settings and turned off all syncing including all accounts, background syncing, letting apps sync, etc. and rebooted phone and it comes back within 2 minutes of phone being on. Any ideas of what it could be? I am still trying to get my battery to work well since 2.0 I have been having problems with quicker drain then I want.
Thanks.
First suggestion would be to flash the speedmod kernel. It seems to provide better results for those whose phones don't get along with the included one.

That's coo I'm going to try the jpp trick and see if i can get 850 working on att would it be possible to post the directions someone put together a few threads ago and have them put on the main page along with any other gps instructions we might need?I will be putting jk4 as the default modem. I have no problem flashing jpp for my own use. I do this for you guys so I will make it that much easier.
