[ROM] JBMIUIv4.1 #4.2.7 | CM10.1 JDQ39 | s89 production | DesireHD [08.02.2014]

+1 with the "Widget loading" problem.
Could you add the 4-way reboot options mod?
It's really nice to have an updated MIUI ROM again for our DHD/Inspire 4G! :D

If you have troublous with volume keys like I do there is workaround. If you install ROM who hasn’t SuperSU or Superuser flash this zip right after flash the ROM:
http://download.chainfire.eu/382/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip
Then install Terminal Emulator:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm
Open window and write:
“su root” -> press enter
“reboot recovery” -> press enter
Works for me when the ROM does not have implemented option for reboot type.

Xposed isn't entirely compliant with Miui's framework. Install WSM tools [link here], it's compatible with existing Xposed modules, at the same time it offers modules adapted for tweaking MIUI and it's System UI. This includes the availability of 4 way reboot module in WSM tools online repository.

Existing methods to manually implement 4 way reboot options are now incompatible since android.policy.jar smali references to MiuiGlobalActions*.smali have changed vastly. WSM Tools as I mentioned is an exception since it loads a modified bespoke library with the sole purpose of returning such feature.

Widgets not loading on first boot is actually a MIUI resource issue at /system/media/theme and the bug was infact introduced by xaiomi themselves in this weeks build. I will try to elliminate this issue with a patch in the form of an update.zip but it'll likely be fixed in next weeks build.

You can still download and use clock widgets obtained via MIUI Theme Manager (Menu > Edit widgets > Select edit icon beside Widget > finally locate downloaded Widget via Local Tab and apply.

Miui has it's own Su Binary and Permission Manager (LBESEC). To override Permission Manager in order to manually accept ROOT requests for required apps please perform the following:

Locate the Security app on your homescreen > Permissions > Toggle 'ROOT Permission' to the on position.

or alternatively via Permissions app also on the homescreen > 'Manage ROOT Permission' > (Ensure Checkbox on application header is enabled)

Both achieve the same result and are corresponding settings; so only one of the two mentioned methods is required.

Also if you have any issues with buttons not functioning, then it's likely you flashed GAPPS after ROM Installation without letting the system boot first. So in order to avoid this issue, you must install the ROM, let the ROM boot and finally reboot into recovery to proceed with flashing GAPPS.

(Back in the day the home button used to be affected (non functional) if you performed a GAPPS installation straight after ROM installation without booting the system first)

Hm... WSM on 4.1.24 just kill the system as i've tested earlier

And kill everyone port of MIUI

Could you elaborate on what is killed when using WSM Tools? I have it installed as we speak, been installed for days. I've yet to experience a single issue with WSM or the modules loaded, providing your WSM Tools and it's framework are kept up-to-date of coarse (since new WSM releases extend compatability to latter MIUI Versions). The Mi-Tools module at present hasn't released an update to support 4.2.7 as of yet (dev's are probably busy) but other available Modules within it's repository including Xposed modules work fine.

As previously mentioned since new WSM releases extend compatability to latter MIUI Versions, it can also break compatibility with older MIUI releases as they (Burgerz & Rovo89) adopt their framework for the code changes XIAOMI implement; If a particular WSM Tools works for your MIUI version and you're prompted to update, simply don't as the changes made may not be relevant to your build. It's just a case of trial and error, usually observed via a bootloop.

Should this happen perform the following via ADB within Recovery to save you having to wipe data:

[ENSURE SYSTEM IS CHECKED AND MOUNTED - Easy and simple procedure which changes dependant on your Recovery]

Code:
Adb remount
Adb shell rm -rf /data/data/pro.burgerz.wsm.manager

The above command will remove WSM related framework and therefore restore normal boot operation.

If you can provide me with some additional information or a logcat to accompany your claim I will gladly assist with rectifying any issues you have experienced. Otherwise to me, WSM operates as should.

Is the rom a port or build from source ?

I also have a problem with the widgets.
Flashed the newest build (from 8.02) and gapps.
However, the delay before ringtone which bothered me disappeared.

The base is compiled from source and the miui framework is ported i.e. not a patchrom.

Might experiment with a patchrom however from MIUI sources.

That's excellent news, my fix for the delay worked then. Great to hear. The widget issue is a bug introduced by Xaiomi, i will try to resolve this issue however.

Ah, I've read about the widget issue later, after I posted, my apologies.

I'm really happy you fixed the delay.
Not that I'm *****ing, but it'd be nice if you'd announce what changes has been made from the last build.
Still
It's my daily driver, thank you.

I'm working on JBMIUI 4.3.21 as we speak! Looks like Xiaomi/Miui have added new libraries, annoying how this becomes apparent after hours (and I mean hours) of decompiling, debugging and tracing new smali methods. Wow what a headache.

Edit: Can we hit the 2000 mark on the ol' Thanks Meter? Idk ;) only 6 to go...
    11
[s89 mods;] Goodies to be dropped... Look what I've ported!

Sorry guys, coupled with unwell I've been busy. I will overhaul our base to solve some of those slow downs we've had reported.

I thought I'd show you what I've also managed to port to the DesireHD.... Dadaaa, it's MIUI V5 Camera ported and working entirely (well everything accept panoroma). Look forward to it's presence in the next release; which will of coarse be based upon the latest MIUI build to date and hopefully baked in a different oven ;0

I'm going to have a go at porting a Miui v6 rom tonight. Wish me luck guys xD

Hi, people are putting some hope on stickman, i think he is busy with some other projects...we keep hopping

Don't worry all I'm still here! My motherboard has been sent away for RMA replacement so I'm literally playing the waiting game. Once returned builds will resume as before. In the meantime I've been backporting MIUI v6 notification blur to our v5 builds and attempting to also port v6's task manager. If all goes well they'll be introduced in the near future as optional addon's.
