I check the settings and notice that under " Phone Identity " the IMEI is unknown and the IMEI SV is also showing unknown. I believe that is the reason why I can't make any calls. I tried factory resetting it a couple of times and it won't work. I tried using the LG Support Tool but that damn piece of crap of a software keeps hanging and keeps saying my battery lacks power when my battery is always at 90-95 percent charge. I don't know what to do anymore. I spent so much money on it, that it's really made me upset because I can't make calls on it. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME!!??
This is what happens to a device when the EFS folder is corrupted. It won't be able to be used until the EFS folder is restored, which restores the unique IMEI number.
That's why an EFS backup is the MOST crucial thing that anyone can do with their device.
Without a backup, you'll need factory service, otherwise, you'll have a 5.5" media player. You'll never be able to make calls on any network again, and you cannot use anyone else's EFS backup. It must be your own.
