I really like this and fully support the idea. I may even make a twitter account just to help add a vote. The only reasons I know of that electronics, mainly phones, are easily outdated/broken/given up on(xperia play and it's lack of updates...) is that companies can make more money releasing new devices and consumers constantly desire more powerful/feature-rich devices. This idea can solve both of those however. Phone and computer companies can release new hardware as Bloks* as often as they like, making them smaller, more powerful, and more efficient. Consumers can continue upgrading their device until it doesn't even resemble the first model they purchased.
This has so much room for improvement and innovation! Why isn't this the future already?

191,146,647 <-- this is how many votes they have
DAYS LEFT <-- Their goal was met long ago, and still have this much time left
I feel like they underestimated how this would kick off, and NEED to start actually designing hardware as proof-of-concept for companies to support.
