It seems the update disabled this feature in the bootloader.
You can flash cwm using adb , you need root rights .The best is when adbd is running in root mode (for eaxample kernel#60).
Download this :flash_image binary

then turn on usb debugging.
to flash cwm you need the following commands:
adb push CWMrecovery.img /data/local/tmp
(where cwmrecovery.img is the name of the cwm image file name.)
adb push flash_image /data/local/tmp
adb shell chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/flash_image
adb shell (you need # not $ for flashing , so if you got $ type su to get #)
cd /data/local/tmp
./flash_image /dev/block/mmcblk0p18 CWMrecovery.img

Dont forget to remove the install-recovery.sh file from /system/etc othervise it will install
stock recovery at system start if it has not the stock recovery.

To revert the bootloader you need to flash NON-HLOS.bin"to "/dev/block/mmcblk0p1" and "emmc_appsboot.mbn" to "/dev/block/mmcblk0p7" from a previous version .
i got error scanning partitions no such device on last adb command. Any ideea?

Dear joe,

could you please control syntax?
i applied all (three times) but returns "error scanning partitions: No such file or directory" message.

The syntax is correct.
Upload a sceenshot what happens , I think the command is not running as root.
It is better to install it from a booted cwm . In that case you will have root and adbd is running in root mode.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot v10_cwmrecovery.img
adb wait-for-device
adb push v10_cwmrecovery.img /data/media
adb shell flash_image /dev/block/mmcblk0p18 /data/media/v10_cwmrecovery.img

Of course the new twrp can be used as well just remember to change img filename in commands.

New cm9 build

There is a new version in the first post.
Sleep of death fixed
wifi scanning and connecting fixed now it works fast and as expected. (The turn off bug is still there)
Blue message notification
Compiled from fresh cm9 source so there is some new apps and fixes.
Vodafone clock added.
Hopefully the cdma will work on v55 . (at least voice calls should according to test and dev on zte warp)

Install the stock driver package , because adb wait-for-device is the command which wait until the device is not visible via adb. In cwm you should wait a few minutes until adb is started. Which cwm did you tried ? The original one or my modified one . My modified one should work as well as twrp recovery .

ok i'll try again after driver installation.
I tried your modified cwm.
i wanted to install it for your zipped kernel v60. but i saw that i can install kernel with booted cwm, no need to flash it.
i installed kernel and made overclock. thanks.

Hey,
great work joe.

I´ve just uploaded the fixed bootanimation.

http://www.4shared.com/zip/m4F_K69s/bootanimation.html

It didn´t work when i just replaced the one through root explorer, so try it, or you can just copy it to original ROM update from joe.stone to system/media and flash it again, it won´t remove anything, it will just change the animation, or you can wait, untill joe puts it in his ROM (if he decides to) :)

Hey joe, I just installed your newest build and the 3g is still not working correctly. It keeps telling me that the sim card is missing. I even tried inputting the apn settings for sprint and got nothing.
By what I see in the about device page in the settings the IMEI number is not there it is a 0 along with the MDN. I am also pretty certain that the serial number is wrong. I will do a logcat later and upload that along with some screen shots.

Uploading some logs could help , because I am shooting blindly .
Does the cdma register to the network or not ?
Only 3G not working or Voice is not working as well ?
To make log :
adb logcat -b radio > radiolog.txt

What happens when you try to start rild from adb shell . Maybe it can tell us what lib is missing why it is not started.(maybe this is the cause why no imei shown). Now all the libs which are used by the gsm model is copied from the stock v55 rom for this device.
adb shell
then
rild

To start in safe mode :
    Turn off the device .
Turn on the device . When the android figure come up press and hold down the volume down button.
Another possibilty is from shutdown menu. hold down the restart until the restart in safe mode is not coming up.

All of above should be installed from cwm or twrp recovery.Copy the zip files to your internal storage's root folder (mnt/sdcard). How to install cwm recovery is here :CWM recovery installation
If you have problems backing up (hangs while backup) use this cwm recovery:
    7" modified cwm recovery
    10" modified cwm recovery
Important to make a backup in cwm before you install this rom. (in cwm choose backup option, your backup will be stored on internal storage's clockworkmod folder). This case if you wish you can restore your original rom from cwm using restore option .
If your backup is done do a wipe data/factory reset in cwm before installation.
To install choose install zip from sdcard option in cwm recovery and browse to the zip file on your internal storage's root folder.

Vodafone HU SmartTab7 Stock rom recovery package (v03a , installable from cwm)
Vodafone HU SmartTab10 Stock rom recovery package (v03a, installable from cwm)

    TWRP Recovery (Current Release v2.3.1.1):
I have ported the new graphical touch recovery(TWRP) to our device. All credits goes to Teamwin , i just port it to our device . It cannot restore backups made by cwm.

    Download :
    http://goo.im/devs/joestone/twrp
This new version(2.2.2.1) is needed for automatic rom updates through goomanager. The new rom versions will be automatically updateable , but only with twrp .
Also this new version is available to install as a zip from recovery (cwm or twrp) or as previous(img) through fastboot.
The filenames contains the modelcode which it belongs to.
    for example :
V11_TWRP.zip is for smarttab10 and installable from recovery(cwm or twrp).
V71_recovery.img is for smarttab7 and installable from bootloader mode (fastboot) .

    This is the start screen.

Here you can select wether to use internal or external storage of the tab. If selecting external don't forget to select mount SDCard
    287518_fb02.thumb.jpg

Selecting Install you can browse which file to install. Remember the internal storage accessible under data/media , while external storage is sdcard-ext.
    287518_fb03.thumb.jpg

Backup menu let you create backup of the device including some part of the firmware. If you see 0 MB Free space as on the picture select refresh sizes.
Usually it happens with the internal storage.
    287518_fb04.thumb.jpg

We can reboot the device several ways including Power Off.
    287518_fb05.thumb.jpg

Under Advanced there is a file manager which can be used to copy , move or delete files .
