I have a question and maybe hyun or tribalartgod or anybody maybe can help me with...I noticed that a couple of the splashes I made look kinda squished and I was wondering if its because I'm not getting the resolution right? I've been using an online pic resizer to resize the pics/wallpaper and then I use just plain old windows Paint to save as a bitmap.

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

And to just throw it out there...if anybody has a boot splash they want done...you can PM me and I'll make it up for ya. But do know that I'm not an artist and I really couldn't just up and make a custom splash for ya. I can turn a wallpaper or a ready made image into one for ya. I might even be able to go so far as to add some custom text to an image.

I only put this out there for those that maybe want a splash but for whatever reason's don't want to post.

Here is mine.

All credit for the original image goes to mudknott2005.
The base image was from one of his boot animation

Here is the link for my correlating boot animation

That looks great! I'm definitely going to be using this when I switch my rom later today :).

UPDATE: And the boot animation too! I've been looking for a splash/animation combination like this! :)

You do know that the text "BATTLEFIELD 3" is not right, don't you?

The image says "BATTLEFILED 3".

I Photoshopped the image and corrected the spelling.

I am not trying to start any fights or anything, just trying to be helpfull.

Cheers

Thanks, lol. That's what happens when you try to do things tired, Had just come off a midnight shift. I still have the photoshop file, i'll just edit the layer.

I wanted to see if one of you could make this image into a splash screen for Adam who makes the TBGB ROM. If you could that would be great, thanks.

Try this splash. You don't need Eng-S off for this method.

download the PD98IMG.zip. Place in the root for your SDcard. Power off your phone. Hold Volume Down, then Power to get to HBoot.

Let the bootloader find the image. Let it load the image then Volume up to update.

Phone should reboot with this Splash Screen.

You may have to ask in that thread. But in most ROM's, you download the bootanimation you want, Rename it bootanimation.zip and place in /data/local

You don't necessarily have to flash it through Recovery or Hboot.

I don't know if my environment is the same as yours. I made a nice bootscreen, but I don't know how to run a command from ADB. I can run a command in command prompt, but ADB doesn't give me a place to provide commands when I run it.

Anyway, here are my files... what's wrong? Can you help me?

P.S. I have the high quality bmp in the zip file. as well as my project which doesn't appear correctly on my phone. It's very distorted.

It doesn't appear correctly in your phone because the resolution of your bmp is wrong. Your bmp needs to be 480x800. You have yours as 400x800.

You have a different phone then the Inspire/DHD, so it probably uses a different file name other than PD98IMG. The script inside to flash the file is also probably different. I would not use these files for your phone. Post the splash that you wanted and I will try to research what the Evo uses.

Edit: Still researching this. As I do not have an Evo I want to make sure I find the correct way to do it. So far no luck in finding what the correct script should be inside the folder.

Ladys and Gentleman, I present to you "Beats Candy". A splash screen based off of Beats audio and Skullcandy.

This is only part of my new theme to come to an Inspire near you!
