So, I pulled the phone out of the holster only to see my led flashing amber. I hit the end button and saw that I had a new email. I hit the end button again to put it to sleep and it started flashing again. So I open the email, then put it back to sleep and no more flash. Later on I got a text and it flashed green.

hehe Did you upgrade your liblights recently? I believe there is a newer version out there but haven't had time to find and try it yet. But no, no idea what's going on with the LED notifications.
Don't know if this will help, I had the same problem, then realized I had set one software (realcalc, I think) to keep the screen on. And it was loading automatically.
Thanks. I checked RealCalc, it's not the culprit. It stopped doing it after a reboot so I guess I'll have to take note of what I've run recently if it starts happening again.

That big a drop is most likely build related and from having stagefright player disabled to fix the green line in YouTube HD video.
