Each smg file is the image of it's group code, and image format may differrent from each other.
I don't know where is bootloader and baseband located. I think this problem had been solved in the topic of Defy but i haven't read whole that topic yet ...
I want to ask this thing : If we finish this work , Can we use 3g network band 2100 on Flipside which only supports band 850/1900 ? (many people in my country said that it's impossible)

i found this program and was able to unpack the original froyo sbf file now i just have to figure out how to unpack the smg's
EDIT: well i got the radio/basband/modem extracted into a patchable sbf file and flashed it over the rom, no need to wipe anything yay! and now the phone almost instantly connects fully connects to the network with a green icon meaning the connection is fully stable and syncing correctly which it was not doing before... but im still getting the reboot when i try t make phone calls or use the market... etc... anybody know which CGxx.smg file contains the kernel im thinking if i know which one it is i can do the same and compile the modem and the kernel into the sbf and be able to flash that over
here is the modem sbf to flash over ur rom with RSD
(again i say you do NOT have to wipe anything and you wont lose any information)
