A bit off topic, but related to this app: does anyone know a way to map media play/pause to a hardkey? Getting it to work either on a long-press or whenever the screen is off would be ideal.

I use the NC for audiobooks fairly often and occasionally as an MP3 player, and I like to keep the screen PIN-locked, meaning if I need to pause it's a matter of pulling out/grabbing/flipping open my case, waking, entering the PIN, possibly navigating to my media home screen, and then pausing :P It would be great if I could pause/resume audio without pulling out and waking the NC (e.g. reach into my bag or over to my nightstand and push a button). The ideal would be if I could get the Power button to do this when the screen is off, leaving the volume buttons as-is, with media seek on long-press, but I expect remapping one of the volume buttons would be more doable.

You can add media player controls in the lockscreen settings. That should at least enable you to skip tracks without unlocking

There's already a CM7 setting to make vol+/- skip forward/back on longpress when the screen is off; it's just play/pause that's missing. I found an app called Media Keys that adds media controls to the Shortcut menu, which means I can assign them to Menu, Home, or Search as longpress actions (same as Recent Plus), then remap that button to a volume key with keysmod, but none of those actions execute unless you wake and unlock the NC :/

The CM7 Lockscreen widgets don't work on an actual PIN/PW/pattern lock, only on the non-secure, anti-butt-dialing lockscreens. You can either have a purely symbolic lockscreen with widgets, or a secure one with no widgets, or, if you're a masochist, you can go through both sequentially, but you can't combine the features of the two in one lockscreen. I tried out a lockscreen-toggle widget, but that does affect both types of lockscreen, either turning both on or both off.

Just a quick update: I can reproduce the bug with switching to certain apps like the uc browser. I have been trying for many hours to fix this, but I can not figure out how to fix it. I looked into the android source, but I am starting the activities in the same way. Other task switcher apps don't have this problem, apparently. Hrm...
