Default How can nobody comments on the 540 x 960 screen?

Ive seen and read a lot hands on with the evo 3d but no one says nothing about the new 540 x 960 resolution, do you guys have any info ? how does it compare to the thunderbolt and inspire screens?

It's just resolution... If you want to go see a qHD screen, on a phone, go look at some of the motorola phones.. I think even the og Droid had a qHD screen.

Um, the OG droid only had a resolution of 854x480... the Evo 3D's resolution, however, is 960x540

Im im not mistaken the evo 3d will be the first tft lcd screen with qHD resolution, the motorola arix as a pentile screen

you're correct the original droid has 854x480.

You're correct... Still, with a smaller screen, the pixels per sq inch has to be similar. And to be honest, I don't most people will even notice a difference on a screen of 800 X 480 or 960x540, if all other things were equal. Even if there was a noticable difference, it's probably only noticable if you were to hold the phones side by side.

I actually agree with the OP, it is a pretty big deal. The iPhone 4 is amazingly clear. Videos look sharper, and crisper, and despite Steve Jobs mumbo jumbo about it being more than a retina can actually behlod, it really does come down to being a very high resolution screen.

I have always been happy with the Evo over it, because I would rather have a larger screen that is close in resolution, but I think that this resolution, on this size of a screen, is pretty cutting edge.
