Default [REQ] Remove Sense Edify Script

Looking for just what the title says. Simple Edify Script to Remove Rosie, Corresponding widgets, and anything else tied to sense that can be removed without breaking any functions or syncs such as facebook and twitter for sense and load something like launcherpro in its place. (Launcher doesn't make a difference to me cause I'll replace it with one of signals23 mods...Thanks bud!)

Since all our current roms are versions of stock it should be pretty useful to those who like launcherpro, adw, etc...instead of rosie and should be pretty universal and whether through the updates. I also figure it will be a little more practical then releasing numerous senseless versions of other roms. I'll give thanks and update the op or the author can create his own thread, either is fine by me.

seriously doubt someone will make this when its simple enough to use root explorer to delete the apk's

or you could even extract the zip on the computer and batch delete them and add your own launcher apk

Yeah...that's what I'm doing now. Just trying to make it a little more convenient then that. They are POPULAR:

Remember negativity isn't productive...lol...
I would create my own like in my thread here: but I don't know edify. I'm sure a few people will find it useful.

this should work to run the script below which you will add all of the apps you want to remove in the form of rm statements

this will work only on the thunderbolt, because of the partition being mounted as system (of course you can change that for other devices if you like)

Code:
show_progress(0.1, 0);

ui_print("Removing sense stuff...");
mount("ext3", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p25", "/system");
package_extract_file("removestuff.sh", "/tmp/removestuff.sh");
set_perm(0, 0, 06755, "/tmp/removestuff.sh");
run_program("/tmp/removestuff.sh");
show_progress(0.1, 10);
show_progress(0.2, 0);
show_progress(0.2, 10);
unmount("/system");
below will be the removestuff.sh script that the edify script above will call

Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
#this is a simple script to remove stuff
# Name: removestuff.sh

rm /system/app/blah1.apk
rm /system/app/blah2.apk
etc etc etc

of course you fill in what to delete and add more rm lines

hope this helps
