Wink SPB Shell 3D (5.0)

Hi just to let all tg01 users know, i have installed the newest version of SPB Shell 3D on my ZTE blade. It runs smooth, and all, but it is seriously an unpratical Home launcher with too much eye candy animations and pretty useless. It doesnt have the functionality of the 3.5 Version.

So just to simply say that we dont need to be angry or dissapointed that SPB is not releaseing Shell 3D for our WM TG01's as its pretty rubbish, just lots of fancy animations. I'm yet to install this on my Galaxy Tab, to see what it is like on the big screen (but i will only use it for showing off and i might aswell but my wasted money on the pointless shell to use on all my devices)

The only nice thing about it is the folders, and some new widgets. Also the 3D carousel has been improved and is much faster to launch and on the 3.5 on our WM, there is a delay to opening the 3D carousel. it is also much faster and smoother as the ZTE Blade only has a 600mhz opposed to the 1ghz on the TG01 - but this could be down to android being a generally more optimized, faster OS)

But from my conclusions, it is a battery hogging app, and takes up 40-50mb RAM on my ZTE Blade!

If you really want to try it out yourself on the TG01, boot into android (sd card) find a .apk for it somewhere (google is your friend) However i am not promoting WAREZ. So use the public beta if you want to not use warez. Install it on the TG01 using a file manager and you can try it.

So my overall opinion is that we won't miss the SPB Shell 3D (Version 5.0) too much, and 3.5 is still brilliant! However if SPB still released Shell 3D 5.0 for the WinMo, i won't mind giving it a go to see how it is like.

p.s - if you want, i can post a short video of my TG01 and ZTE blade running SPB Shell 3.5 vs 5.0.

well i have the full version from the android market that i bought, but you can google it for the full version ( though i'm not promoting Warez) google - 'SPB shell 3d apk' i've seen links for the full version.
But if you want to not use warez - google - SPB Mobile shell 5.0 beta apk (there are 2 versions of the beta a 'fixed' for special devices and plain version...
The beta thing is a bit complicated!

Nope, that shouldn't be the issue! It works on all resolution devices
