Unhappy [Q] MIUI Charging issue

The phone charges just fine at initial plug in, then it charges to full, and the frustrating part is that it stops charging after that. So my girlfriend wakes up in the morning without a full charge every morning. Used to just plugging in the phone and using it as an alarm clock so shutting it off to let it charge is for now an issue. Is there a setting i have to change? (i.e continue charging after full) lol.
lmk if anyone else is having this issue.

That shouldn't happen...I would recommend to do a full wipe and try re-flashing the rom.

The difference between the strong and weak willed is that the weak traverse with wounds covered up and hide when attacked, while the strong stride on with open hands and tears. Wounds bared open, and will continue to go on, even when broken at their core

Are you also on Miui? Do you have another cable to test?

I wanna breathe new life into this thread because My evo is not charging either and I am using the latest MIUI (1.4.15) and just switched to tiamat 3.3.7 kernel and Now my phone will charge while on my laptop after I turn it off plug in charger and then turn it on. I tried this method with my charger plugged into the wall and it did not work. Any bit of advice for me guys? I have tried multiple chargers. Thanks in advance for all the help and suggestions.

If you guys aren't running sbc kernels and you leave your phone overnight that's no bueno. Your phone will stop charging when it hits a certain voltage(shuts off), and it will probably drain instead of keeping a full charge. Its programmed to stop your battery at a certain voltage to prevent it from overheating, *enter sbc kernels to fix that issue*. If I'm incorrect feel free to add to this and correct me.

Hey thanks for the speedy reply, it is really appreciated. The kernel I am using right now is Tiamat S.B.C 3.3.7 SBC. Again thanks for your response and thanks in advance for yours or anyone elses future responses.

Since you tried multiple chargers, what about multiple kernels(the latest savagedzen). Also miui's battery indicator(light) actually turns off at 100% unlike cm7 so maybe you guys think its not charging but it is! Once it hits 100% its supposed to trickle tiny mv's in your phone overnight but it will only do that if you're not using your phone (light will be off). Also I don't think the trickle charging feature works with USB, it only works in the wall. Try downloading "battery monitor Widget" free from the market to keep an eye on your battery stats.

You are an evo guru haha. Thanks again for the speedy response. I actually go to bed with the battery around 60 percent battery life and when i wake up its usually around 50-42 percent battery life. I am gonna look for the latest savagedzen kernel and see if it is compatable with gingerbread rom.

Glad to help! Lol nah just an android lover with a few years of skills/knowledge; but here's the link to the savagezen. It is compatible with 2.3 I'm using it now. The latest version is the 1.1.0. Give this kernel a shot.
