Default Glad didn't buy the arc

I'm so happy I didn't buy the arc so many people complaining.
1- battery life sucks
2- random shutdown
3- less ram
4- call volume still in low side
5- can't use third party earbuds with mic
6- goes on and on

Can't wait for Samsung galaxy s2. I had high hope but SE dissapoint again.

The camera, the speed, the smoothness, the screen quality in all terms(brightness, contrasts, detail, color):

Believe me, i have both and they are not the same, the Arc is what the x10 should have been, at least they are updating the x10, that will improve the software side.

1- 37 hours to reach 10% isn't bad. There must be some kind of other problem with those phones suffering from bad battery.
2- Never had a restart in one week. Have heard more probs from DHD owners for example.
3- Less than what? I've never reached the limit for the ram, no problem.
4- Great crisp sound is all I can say. If you work at a building site, this isn't the phone for you.
5- Dunno. Probably the only true point
6- Only complaint I have is that they made it out of plastics. I would have wished for a tougher screen. The plsatics makes it light tho. Tough choice.

Huge upside: Unlocking boot loader! Beats samsung and google any day in the week, and trice on saturdays, cause the camera works in the club

Default HTC Desire to Arc

I currently have the HTC Desire, so the Arc (which Will be in my hands tomorrow) (cant wait) looks like a big upgrade for me.

HTC desire vs Arc

1. More internal user memory (i only have 14mb free with everything on sd card that can be)
2. Camera quality better on the arc.
3. Photo taking much quicker on arc. & Physical Camera button (always the best)
4. Video sound quality Pathetic & tinny on the desire, sounds much better on the arc.
5. Faster processor even if it is a 1ghz processor.
6. battery on Desire lasts 17 hours on desire (hopefully a bit better on arc)

It all depends what phone you are moving from & what you want from a phone.

& remember the Arc has a LED notification light (even if in a silly place on the side) & NO Samsung does & if you have ever used a HTC or Motorola you will know how useful it is.

I've had my Arc for 2 days now... previous phone X10.

The Arc is so much better than the X10... there is no way you don't feel the difference... it's like night and day in speed... and in battery life.

I recently did a fresh install of my X10... hoping battery life would get better... no luck there.
If I didn't plug it in during the night... it would be completely drained in the morning.

On the Arc I had 72% before going to sleep and 56% when it woke me up

Ah yes ... no random shut downs at all...

Is the OP looking to get flamed??? Why on earth would you open such a derogatory thread??

The Arc is soooooo much better than the X10..

Battery life is similar to x10 - better than a lot of large screen smartphones... getting c. 1.5 days with medium use.. 1 full day with really heavy use.

no random shut downs.

same RAM and actually the RAM isn't that important now as 2.3 manages it really really well and of course we've got Apps2SD also.. the whole memory thing is a red herring..

call volume is really good.. and with the 2nd mic on the back it's also helping to improve the experience for people calling me when I'm in a noisy environment.

haven't tried iphone earbuds with mic (or any other..) the ones in the box are pretty good...

I personally know at least 10 other people who have the Arc and not one of them is experiencing the problems you've listed..

[Edit : Click on the silly Billy link below to see what I mean!!]
Are you a silly Billy???

Previous Phones - Samsung Tocco; SE Xperia X10; Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro; SE Xperia arc -Bootloader UNLOCKED

Current Phone- Sony Xperia T - Stock.. for once!

Tablet- Sony Tablet S - SGPT111GB/S - looking to upgrade to something decent!

1. So far battery life is outlasting my iPhone4 and X10 easily.
2.No shutdowns so far for me. At all.
3. 512MB RAM is "less" in what mathematical world you live in?
4. Call volume is great, I can hear the other party loud and clear. a huge step up from my X10 and iPhone 4.
5. True- but I use bluetooth anyway, and the included wired buds are actually not bad at all.
6. Such as...?

I can guarantee you the same list of "issues" can be found with any phone.
