Default Best battery saver

Hi I need a good battery saver,i try long ago juice defender, as I remember wasn't very good FOR ME.there is a lot of options now but I want hear advices before buy (free will be nice tho)
What I want save me battery I have 2 mail accounts hotmail and gmail push, I wish no to delay too much because in hotmail I get notifications for facebook and so on.i use msn droid sometimes.
So I read disabling data when screen off,i can set up every 5 min or something but what happen when I'm using msn droid?i don't want keep connected every 5 min if this disable data any of the saver can exclude when this is running?
I use tweet deck too no problem I guess I pull every hour and 30 min for mentions thanks for help

I am using systempanel.. another method to save the battery---monitor cpu usage of every app and process.
i can know which app has runned background like crazy..(usually some browser or xda app)

SetCPU has worked awesome for me.

Only thing I did was set a screen off profile.

SuperPower Control widget is probably the most comprehensive I've seen so far ... lets you play with the CPU speed, disable/enable data (3G/2G/Wifi) depending on conditions, control when to sync, etc ... It's made by a forum member, can find it in the Market.
