[ROM][5/15/11] MIUI-Bread 1.5.13 : Ganii-Mod-DE/EN+Trackpad wake, 4way reboot (v5.8)

In order MIUI 1.3.18 and 2.3.3 Android I started my own custom ROM.
Here is my custom ROM for Desire Z which is based on the current MIUI 1.4.1 Version,Android 2.3.3.
I`m not a perfect developer and maybe can`t fix all bugs etc.but will try
to do this.Sorry too,for my bad english

Note:

First time you did a Full wipe and flashing,then you turn WLAN on,maybe you
will get a bootloop.As I read,CarpeNoctem has written this is a
known issue for CM7 kernel.To solve this,after flashing let phone sync a
few seconds,then reboot and turn WLAN on!

Important for Dalvik cache to SD: (via terminal emulator from the Market)

P.S. For A2SD + and Dalvik cache to SD,first partitioning your SD card!
Then flash zip which I attached
Before flashing via recovery menu,Mount Data
and Mount system so that the pack is installed.
Because there is an error in the updater script.

For MIUI 1.4.1:

Optional attached Mms APK with the new UI from miui.dev forum!
The rest of Chinese language,I've removed and now it`s
completely english.
Original Mms APK from official miui.com 1.4.1 release
attached too,if you need it!

Both zip files can be flash via recovery!


MIUI-Bread 1.4.8 lockscreen patch:

Maybe after flashing,you don`t have the 4-way reboot option
at the lockscreen.So if you like the 24 hour lockscreen and the
4-way reboot option,then flash attached 4-way reboot Mod.

I edited the build.prop at MIUI-Bread v3.8 to the following:
(build.prop now included at all new versions since v3.8)

Trackpad wake:

Seems at the new 1.4.29 builds for Desire Z,trackpad wake was removed
from settings menu.

Maybe don`t work for feature builds,so you can try this option:

Camera button don`t open the miui camera:

Ok,now I did a test at v5.1 and removed Cyanogen camera from system and the
folder at data/data too.
Then wiped dalvik and cache!
Now camera button opens the miui camera.

T-Mobile Wifi Calling for Desire Z/G2 Gingerbread

Can´t test T-Mobile WiFi calling because I`m at germany and as far as I
know it don`t work outside the USA.

Dark Themes and call issues:

Maybe go to Dialer settings and enable "Thirt-party access".
Some users reported this helps,but not at all!

Other Notes:

Backlight toggle issue: Before using "Backlight Toggle" in drop down notification bar, got to Settings/--> Common/--> Display Settings. Turn Off Automatic brightness and use the slider to adjust screen brightness to your preference. After doing this, the "Backlight Toggle" will not turn your screen black on initial selection.

Google Voice setup instructions: When launching for the first time... go through the screens enter your info and when you come to 2nd screen of "Set up voicemail" press skip, that will put bring into the app. after that you will need to manually select the Voicemail service. exit out of the app to the home screen and go to settings/-->common tab/-->Call Settings/-->Settings[scroll all the way to the bottom]/-->Voicemail service/--> google voice. after you do that it will then set itself up

First you can try to wipe phone again,I always using this:

Maybe try this,otherwise you have to delete the "-" between the numbers.
Easy to do at you google account and then sync again.

Awesome! Before I try this, can I flash this over the abandoned MIUI that G4rb4g3 was maintaing? Also, have you had any luck with the 1.4.8 version that's out?

I believe it's safe to flash over since they're both basically the same build (1.4.1). Ganii just modified it to his own tastes.

this rom is really sweet. a couple things i noticed, the pulldown bar defaults to settings and not notifications (not sure if thats miui default or not) but maybe 25% of the settings are in german. just looks strange with everything else in english.

also, i was able to achieve bootloop when scrolling around in USB connected mode seemed to be tied to when i turned wifi on. i havent been able to reproduce this however.

all in all really great job so far

*edit* i also have no contacts. only rom ive had that didnt load them. i guess ill have to try and find them.

Pulldown bar to settings is normal for me since I`m on MIUI!
And no problems with language if I change language at settings/system/Language and Input settings.
There is English available.After changing,reboot!
Maybe some words,strings/values at the xml files not fully translated at some apps!
