[Q] booting into bootloader

hey guys, my volume-down button is busted. is there any other way i can get into bootloader?

btw, im trying to do this from within winmo 6.5. is there any app tht would let me reboot into bootloader directly?

You can download Touch Tools or Anestasia's End Key and both of these apps will let you get to your bootloader via your touch screen. Both of these apps are also here on XDA in the HTC HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 apps and themes forum, or you can just do a Google searchfor them make sure you include "for HTC HD2" after each one when you type it into Google. I would link themfor you but I am using my HD2 to post.

Now my question is why do you want to get to your bootloader? If you want to install Android or WP7 then you will not be able to get back to your bootloader without your volume down button.. without access to hour bootloader you can not revert back to Windows Mobile for warranty issues or if you just want to go back to Win Mo.

Edit: If you go to page two of the XDA portal you can read the article about the new update to Touch Tools and other features of this great app, i used it when I was running Win Mo, they also have a link to the thread for touch tools in the article also.

i needed this to access MAGLDR and subsequently the clockwork MOD. i'm getting my volume key fixed right now, so hopefully will not have problems again.
