which firmware is that ?

currently i'm on >> Firmware Version: 2.1-update 1
just downloaded kies and plug in my phone

You need to go in your phone setting to see what is your firmware version

Probably provider fimware (Vodafone Australia) and 2.2.

The update is to froyo 2.2 (ypou have eclair 2.1 at the moment). Do the update through kies (through kies you dont loose anything, contacts, applications and everything else will be there after the update).

heard that after the update one has to reset the phone to factory settings ?
