i just used the Revolutionary tool to get S-Off, and install CWM. Is my phone rooted now or do I have to do something else before installing Superuser?
How tough am I? I write Android apps on a Windows Mobile phone!

You should just flash a .zip that'll push the binary and app to the phone.

Hey guys,

I've got to use my brothers old HTC wildfire for a while and wondered if anyone knew what was the quickest, most stable rom to date?

No fancy features or themes etc, just basically making the phone as smooth as the specs will allow.

Thanks

Ok so you just want a basic rom with nothing fancy but smooth as possible with all major features working ? In my opionion i would go for the latest cm7 stable. click here for cm7 stable
Out of the box ( fresh install ) its very light and stable with all functions working. Its Gingerbread not sense so it might be a little different at 1st but its easy to get the hang of the change soon.

You need to be rooted to flash custom roms etc everything you need to know is in this thread you have posted in, start from page 1 and read up the process and things you will need.

goodluck.
