UK Launch Date 1st May

According to techradar the UK launch date is now officially 1st May. They don't say the source other than

Samsung has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be heading to shops on 1 May, offering Android 2.3 and Samsung's Super AMOLED Plus screen technology.

Where Samsung announced it I dont know, twitter? There isn't even an S2 page on the Samsung UK website that I can find.
But good to know that this phone isn't far away. Cant imagine other country release dates will be too far away.

This ties in with the email Clove sent a member, so preorders wont be sent till the 3rd, but should be available in stores over the May Day bank holiday period.

The post also confirms HSDPA+ usage for the UK at "upto" 21mbps. First phone to offer this in the UK, surprised it isn't making the UK headlines more.

this has already been posted in other threads with a proper link to Engadget and with the source being Samsung UK themselves.

now how do i spend 20 days. times like these inspire me to build a time machine.

Well, I didnt think most people would look in a 30 page thread that was started by trolls. As you were posting I found the engadget link.

But most interesting is 21mbps internet. Will all carriers other than 3 revert back to existing plans of more than 500mb internet? Otherwise lets pray 3 get it on may 1st.

no problemo , a firm official UK release info deserves its own thread. I was just hinting that the info was HERE at xda , there was no need to go read other sites

But if I order the S2 online from clove for example, how do I will know which screen it has, what's the processor speed or graphic chipset...?
