As someone mentioned earlier, it won't play videos encoded with an HD codec (like h264). AVI and M4V are just containers -- if you play the movie in RockPlayer, and then choose the little guitar icon at the lower right, it will overlay the video info, and more than likely, the video is not h264 if it's playing properly.

How do you go about unmounting your flash drive?

When i unmount the drive in the storage settings... and unplug it. I get a warning message that i need to plug in a SD card. Are you seeing this problem?

Was able to load Gingeredition with little problem....went from 5.1.1 and did a data, cache, and Dalvik wipe....then partitioned tablet since I had never done...loaded Gingeredition up and enjoying....

One strange "bug" so far is that while I was able to connect to my home wifi without a problem, but brought the GTab to the office and while it says it is connected I am unable to use browser, Market, etc.....no connection...

I've rebooted several times....wiped cache....but cannot connect...again it says that it is connected, but I'm obviously not...was even able to tether to my phone w/o a problem....may be an issue with my wifi strength, but is strange that it says I'm connected but don't have a real connection....

anyone else having any similar wifi issues?

Is the security in your office a method of encryption the tablet doesn't support?

Also, I have had issues (so far, not with this ROM), where it will not disconnect from the previous device. Usually, when I tether it disconnects on the phone end, but the tablet thinks it is still connected. Just double check.

Should kernel be updated?

Looks like the ROM is using pershoots latest kernel, but wanted to know if anyone has had issues or any reason for updating the Kernel? Perhaps Clemsyns.

My work has a Cisco popup that requires you to accept the terms of using the network. My tab will not redirect from my home page to the Cisco popup to allow me to accept the terms and conditions. I've tried all the different UA string settings aswell as allowed popups an nothing has worked.

set your home page to the "terms and conditions" popup address or bookmark it.

From time to time our open wifi does something similar. doubtful this is a specific rom issue.

Install was a breeze, and it seems to work great, except for Video playback. I absolutely need to have Gmote and Stream Player Lite working (or Rocklite), and Video playback doesn't work properly in either.

Looks like it may have a little way to go before finally be ready for mass consumption, but it looks like a great start!

Is anyone else having a funky sound issue. If I let my tablet idles for a while, the sound goes out. The sound bug is a known issue, I know. However, it will play really loud static for a period of 10sec. Everytime a sound attempts to play after that it results in static. It is very annoying. A reboot clears things up only to have it fail again later.

Any ideas?

The wifi that I am trying to connect to is open and unencrypted...primarily set up for "guests"...I had slight issues when on Vegan 5.1.1, but was eventually able to connect...it is kind of a screwy system, so I'm not sure it's the ROMs fault, but just strange that the tablet says I'm connected (in wifi settings), but doesn't show the wifi connected icon in notification bar....no actual connection for browser, Market, etc....

Gingeredition is able to connect (for real) at home and if I try Android Tether on my Droid Pro....no go on this wifi network in my office though...
