Hi guys! I have created this new thread for not messing up any more Owain94's excellents threads. Kudos to him (thanks boss).

Slade87 has modified my a overclock.zip to install via xrecovery, so default max speed is set to 749 MHz, but with setcpu, you can modify it as you want really easily. same to min freq.

So kudos to Slade 87, another big boos. Thanks so much mate.

The module to overclock our cpu has been developed by doixanh, so thanks so much mate. You are a big boss too.

With low frequencies, battery is undervolted (122, 245, 320, 480), so drain is much less.

I have mine set up to 749 and it is stable at all, but i have tried higher freqs, and 768 works fine too (few reboots, and i got 1349 in quadrant, became top of the list).

Quick install guide:

- Copy attached file to sdcard
- reboot into xrecovery
- select install custom zip and install oclock.zip
- reboot
- run setcpu and press down-left silver button. Select autodetect device
- reboot
- run setcpu and move sliders to desired freq. Warning, i have issues over 768. Never select set on boot if going so far

EDIT: If you try higher freqs than 749, be sure to unmark first "set on boot" option.Attachment 566537Attachment 566634Attachment 566926

Check if you have the right baseband at Owain's thread. If not follow instructions there to update.

If you have it, try to redownload it coz it is working perfrect for me.

Please, anyone to tell us how it is working for him?

I just installed and working without problems........

I also got same installation aborted error. Just extract it and compress it again.

Updated. Now works fine

tried it, got errors same as above people, and it got stuck at sony ericssoon screen.. had to restore using xrec..

you should change it
don't flash update script wrong in his zip.


you can copy the files inside the zip by hand. i recommend to go to the x8 development forum and download the newest .ko file from the thread and install these instead.
