Talking [INFO] Comet Code & Quidco get Transformer down to £351

Hi Guys,

Had a quick look round and didn't see this posted anywhere so thought it might be usefull to those that want to save some cash.

If you sign onto Quidco and then go to the comet site through their 2.5% cashback link and then when your at the basket in comet put in the following code 5OFF (5% off) then you will get ur Transformer for just over £351 (total of 7.5% off). Enjoy

The 5OFF code only seemed to work if I went through Quidco though.
Phone History: MDA Vario 2 -> Blackberry Curve 8300 -> Iphone 2G -> HTC Touch HD -> HTC Hero -> Sony Ericsson X10 -> Samsung Galaxy S2

Hang on, if it's just over £351 with the code then it's 7.5% off...

Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App

I think that is what was meant - 2.5% plus the 5% (5OFF) code. That is what I paid also.

Yeah it is a total of 7.5%, 2.5 from comet and the code gives you 5% off. Sorry for any confusion, I have updated my post to hopefully make it clearer.

I went through Quidco and it didn't recognise 5OFF

Did I do something wrong, or has this finished?

I had a lot of hassle ordering from Comet - they rejected me using a Hotmail email account, not using my billing address as the delivery address and giving them a mobile number as contact details rather than a landline - though none of this was in the order rejection emails they sent me (first time I ordered with a debit card and got the payment problems email back, then I tried ordering with a credit card and got a message back saying they'd tried to contact me regarding problems with my order although no message or email had been left).
I had to call them up in the end and do the whole order over the phone on Saturday (received my eee Pad yesterday). The rep said they'd make a note about the problems I had ordering and the less than descriptive rejection emails I received.

Anyway, if you're still having problems, take these things into account when you're making the order.

Ahh, that makes sense! Has anyone tried using the code 50OFF? :P

Edit: For those running into errors with 5OFF, try 5SPRING instead.

Comet were giving you a load bull. I used my Hotmail account, billing address not same as delivery address & I also used a mobile number. No problems at all. Order was accepted 1st time with all the discount codes & it arrived today but I haven't actually opened it yet as I'm in the process of arguing with them their returns conditions.

I already have a 7" Samsung galaxy Tab which I take everywhere & I'm still on the fence as to whether the 10" size suits me. I want to try it & refund if it doesn't suit. Now Comet charge a 10% restocking fee for open box returns which I think goes against the distance selling rules here in UK.
