[Q] need to know How do I network share files form this pad!

When i click on Mynet and it loads up, Shows my pc for a glimpse and VOILA, it goes again lol

By any chance before this came out Asus mentioned and demoed the desktop stream...anyone heard anything since then?

Btw such a good tablet, quality is solid, software to me is solid, screen is fantastic. I had a Motorola Xoom pre oordered but it was taking awhile to be delivered! and saw this did my research and it was out before the Xoom so I got this and wow I've been happy since.

Not got my tablet yet but people have had success with UPnPlay for connecting to a NAS etc so might work for ur PC. Also you can check out CifsManager, just not sure it works on honeycomb.

My understanding is that MyNet is DLNA application and can only work with DLNA devices. In order to stream from your pc you should setup a DLNA server like (twonky, etc). I haven't got it to work with my pc, but I have a NAS with DLNA which works fine for images and music. Still can't get it to stream videos tough.

If you are not interested in streaming content all you need to do is add ES File Explorer from the market, and that gives you access to network shares and files directly.

Ideally we want some ssh or samba fuse implementation as you don't need root for fuse, can just mount your remote drives. Not seen any though as they need the fuse kernel stuff which then needs root...

+1 for ES File Explorer.

If its only a few files and you don't want to go through any setup pains then Websharing file sync is very handy.

I must say I was in doubt before ordering this but now my doubts gone. Never really brought an Asus product apart from Graphics card from them before lol
