HOW-TO INSTALL ROM



VALID ONLY FOR CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY

0.You must check if you have root permissions.

• FOR 2.2: Download z4Root from SlideME Marketplace,click on "permanent root" and you're done.
• FOR 2.2.1/2.2.2: Use this howto.

1.You must check if you have an installed recovery. Check this thread.

2.Just download ROM by clicking on the link above.

3.Boot in recovery by turning on phone with VolDown key + Home + Power button pressed.

4.Go to Advanced>Partition SD Card

• 512 EXT(Do not create it if you do not want a2sd)
• 0 Swap
• Remainder FAT32

5.Go into the main recovery menu and select "wipe data/factory reset"

6.Go to Mounts and storage>format /system

7.Go into the main recovery menu and select "install zip from sdcard"

8.Select "choose zip from sdcard"

9.Select openOptimus-build-X.XXX.zip or update-openOptimus-build-X.XXX-thunderg-ciaox-signed.zip (X.XXX are the build numbers)

10.Go into main recovery menu and select "reboot system now"

11.Wait at least 4-5 minutes,first boot may take a while,don't panic.


NOTE: YOU NEED TO PARTITION YOUR SDCARD ONLY IF YOU FLASH BUILD 1.148 OR LOWER.

NOTE: IF YOU'RE UPGRADING BUILD,YOU MAY NOT NEED TO WIPE.

Rom size is huge because of additional stuff. This stuff gest written on the SD Card,and they do not slow down the system at ALL.

Q: Can I install this ROM with AmonRa(aka thunderg) Recovery?
A: No. You can't install it via AmonRa Recovery,only ClockworkMod Recovery is supported. Download it here.

Q: How can I correctly a2sd?
A: Download this. Then download a2sdGUI from the Market,and tap on "Apps are on internal storage". Then open Terminal Emulator and give su and a2sd cachesd.

Q: My phone doesn't boot after flashing the ROM.
A: Reflash it and be sure to have ClockworkMod Recovery and be sure to wipe all. If the problem persists,remove the battery and restart the phone.

Q: A2SD/Data2SD doesn't work/phone doesn't boot after flashing it.
A: Make sure to have a class4 SDCard or higher. Also,flash only stable builds of these scripts(Not betas!)

Q: How can I start openScript?

Q: Theme changer erased my Google account!
A: It's normal,Theme Changer is still in a beta phase.

HOW TO START OPENSCRIPT

• Launch Terminal emulator
• Write su and press enter
• A window will pop up,you'll have to tap on allow
• Then write menu and press enter
• The rest is easy.

NOTE: THEME CHANGER IS STILL IN A BETA VERSION AND MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY. HERE'S A LITTLE TUTORIAL ON HOW TO CORRECTLY APPLY A THEME.

1.Run openScript
2.Select option 22
3.Select a theme you'd like to apply
4.Titanium backup will give you a FC,don't worry,it's OK.
5.Press enter
6.Select option 6
7.The phone will reboot,wait and you're done.
