Default [Q] Blue Screen of Death When Connecting to Win7 32 bit

Have found a few examples on other devices of this problem, but not much in the way of solutions. Kinda cripples one's ability to do much with phone if I can't connect it without crashing my computer!

First time I connected, it did not BSOD until I switched to drive mode. Error was DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Since then, it BSODs immediately upon connecting phone in any fashion. First I tried uninstalling all the drivers it had put on (3 items starting with HTC..) and redoing. Same result. Uninstalled all again and installed the HTC sync stuff from their website. Same result. Some google searches indicated this could be a RAM problem and I figured why not check it...all seems well from ramtest, so I don't think that is involved.

Also, it will connect and not crash in safe mode. It connects fine to a friend's laptop (Vista 32-bit).

I'm kinda low on ideas of stuff to try to resolve this. Would be grateful for any input on the matter.

Solved it after examining error log more thoroughly, just figured I'd post in case anyone else encounters this probably rare issue.

That goofball verizon mobile crap mounts as a CD ROM drive. I was using a program called DVD43 in conjunction with Handbrake to rip my dvds to mp4 files. It attempts to scan any DVD inserted, and the verizon program causes crash when it tries to read it when phone was plugged in. Program off, all is well.
