Waiting to see this myself, but truth be told, I had horrible battery life on my other Android phones, G1 and Nexus One

I'm sure we wont know for a week or two because the batteries take some time to get used to cycling . I hear the o2x gets a day-a day and a half and they have stupid lg bloat processes in the background as well as crappy email services

I think it will take 1-2 weeks before we can fully test how long battery life is. Initial battery life out of the box is expected to be bad. We will need some charge-discharge cycle first to fully calibrate the phone's battery.
I expect batt life to be bit better on g2x than stock O2x cause it has less bloatwares and it is running on stock android froyo.
Smartphones:

Nokia N82>>LG Optimus One>>LG Optimus 2x>>LG optimus 3D>>HTC Desire HD>>Google Nexus S>>Apple Iphone 4>>SE Xperia Arc>>HTC Sensation (current)>>Galaxy Nexus>>Galaxy Note 2(still active)>>HTC One (retired)>>

Tablet:

Samsung Galaxy Tab>>Asus EePad Transformer TF101

I am quite impressed with the battery life so far, and coming from a Nexus S that says a lot. I'm going on 14.5hrs my first day of full use (light to moderate, I was working all day) and have 23% left. I wish it had 2.3 so I could post a graph for you...oh well.
