You used it on the correct firmware? Works fine for me so weaird Can you turn of your phone, type in adb logcat and then turn on. Look for errors. And do: ls /system/framework/ and ls /system/app.

I think to know why it didn't work. I used it on KC1 fw but the one updated with kies (CSC was different from the one you can find here). Btw i have already flashed it with odin and i lost about 20 levels on angry birds.. i forgot to do an up to date backup.. Damn! XD But i think i'll wait root on gingerbread now..

Hi peeter!

i have used your script and it woked like a charm!
now i see that the haptic feedback is there when u long press the home button etc.
actually i have rolled back to froyo from gingerbread recently, and i noticed that this haptic feedback was enabled by default in gingerbread. but, the softkey feedback was still not there..
so is there any way that we could enable the feedback for the softtouch keys??

I don't know. Maybe you could use an alternative keyboard.

Hello peeter123,
Firstly, thanks of this great ROM which helped me understand to to make my own ROM for ACE.

How did you enabled the Haptic Feedback?

This is my ROM,
it's based on S5830XXKPB.
Deodexed, Rooted, Busybox included and RTL fix (made by the Israeli community).
also, it's a very simple to install way!
just move the ZIP into the SDCARD, flash S5830XXKPB.
get into recovery (NORMAL ONE! Don't use ROM Manager!) wipe data, wipe cache then just install the ZIP from the menu.
reboot and your all done!
