Newest version is no good for me, still turns off mobile data when GPS is on, I have to manually restart mobile data. Hopefully one day i'll get to use this ROM, back to 2.5 but now thinking that it's time to Insert Coin. Bummed though, really bummed this won't work for me.

I see many of you are busy upgrading

I've tried to prep the rom to get going myself too.

Cooked up a few customizations at UOT and replaced the files in the ROM.

Deleted nano and the unused pico-tts language files to get the .zip down to size (7zip now estimates the system to be around 88MB)

Have downloaded the oxygen hboot (old one, 90MB system)

Latest radio already flashed

Backup is next in line, and then it is time to repartition the sdcard. Currently 500-ish MB ext3, planing to go for 768MB ext4. I think I will apreciate the extra journaling at one point. If someone can confirm ext4 is working before I get going, it'd be nice. After Lee went v.3.x.x ext4 have been more or less neglected due to incompatible kernel in the first versions....

This get me feeling as exited as I was when I first rooted, or when I went S-OFF

Expecting immediate failure tho, as I probably messed up something when replacing those UOT-created files

I've upgraded to 3.0.7 A2SD and it's working well. Like some others here, I fancy dabbling in the Data ++ ROM. However, there seems to be quite a few people offering advice but I'm not clear on the exact steps to take.
Can someone please write an idiots guide, step by step what we need to do exactly. Assume we all know nothing and are complete noobs. Would also appreciate links if we need to download software other than Alpharev and Leedroid.

Thanks in advance if you are kind enough to do this.

Hello,

Haven't tried the latest version yet but I was asking myself a question.
Would it be possible to fit the ROM into the Oxygen Hboot by removing all the files removed by the "StRiPpEd Sense patch" available in the thread for V2.5.0?
That would be great since I'm not actually using the sense launcher anyway.

That being said, the bootanimation isn't really necessary either.

The only thing bothering me is that small cache partition. A modified Oxigen hboot with a bigger cache that allows to flash radios would be ideal for me. Even if I don't flash radios that often...

But anyway I think I'll still wait for the official HTC release before using this GB ROM as my primary one.

Cheers!

Did you tried replacing the files inside the ROM? And than flash it over the existing ROM without wiping data?

I managed to flash the whole theme with that procedure and it worked..:)
