Smile [Q] Is it necessary to wipe all data and cache for flashing the radio

Hi all

my device is HTC Legend, and it has a CyanogenMod 7 Stable version ROM, but the GPS is not working And the solution for this problem was to flash another radio version than the existent one. My question is
"Is it necessary to wipe all data and cache for flashing the radio?" or simply I do it without wiping? and if I didn't wipe the cache and the data what will happen?
please if anyone know the answer tell me.

This is my first android device from HTC, but with all mobile devices with Windows on it, i'd never had to clear any cache.

The rom is located on another part of the memory than the storage part where the OS is installed.

Your post is from 2 or 3 weeks ago, i wonder if you found the anser somewhere else?

No, you don't need to.

But nevertheless: Always do a NAND and store with Titanium etc. (of course no effect on what is changed by the radio)

You only have to do a nand, und you dojt have to clear any chache, because the radio is saved on the system partition.

witch stable did you flash, 3 versions of cm7 stable mod. try to flash the latest (7.0.3 ) and the latest radio ( the bell one) just after (before you reboot.)
if i remember well, i think there's problem off GPS navigation with the stable issues.
