Default .mkv .mp4 playback

It seems that Rockplayer isn't handling this well. Software decoding is very very sluggish and it just crashes with hardware decoding. Anyone have any ideas for playback of these files?

I've had problems with MKV and MP4s of various types on the Viewsonic G Tablet (Tegra 2).

We NEED 2.4 for some dual-core Tegra 2 optimization.
