New OTA 3.8.7 update link hurr

apparently I'm like the only person who got this update like three nights ago

copy the address above and put a period where it says (dot) and remove the spaces in "c o m" so it just says "com" like any ordinary web address and change "wx3" to "www" and "h t t p" to "http"

motorola got their **** right with this build. battery life increased, blur apps updated and running smoothly. not gingerbread however

says 2.26 but is really 3.8.7
i would wait your battery is above 50% just to be careful
1. rename this file to "update.zip" be sure not to accidentally name it "update.zip.zip"
2. put it in the root of your sdcard (not in a folder)
3. power off your pro, then boot into recovery (power + R + M)
4. use the side volume buttons to navigate to apply update.zip and press the enter button on the your keyboard
5. after done, press reboot. enjoy

Here guys, I put up a mirror for it on FileServe. The speedyshare has a traffic cap so only a few people can download it every 15 min.. but there u go, just to get this stuff out there a bit faster. Annoying to wait so long!!

is there a reason it says 2.26?? seems shady

do you have to be rooted to do this it won't let me boot into recovery
i just get a triangle with an exclamation point in it

press @ and you will see the menu
Volumne Up and Down to select.
Enter to confirm.

after you get to the ! press the @ key to the left of the space bar and it should let you navigate through the menu with the speaker buttons

I thought it was funny (though a bit annoying) that I got the update as well a few days ago.
But because I didn't unroot before applying I ended up in a in between state. Meaning I was not rooted but z4root had unroot as an option. Z4root could not do anything. Weird really.

Anyway since a regular factory reset didn't work I flashed the tbh sbf using rsdlite and then got an update for the current 2.26.
But now since this morning I've been trying to get this new update 3.87 again and it simply does not appear.

At least now I can see if there really are improvements.

Thanks everyone here. You saved my day. My Pro was having a random boot problem. Downloaded the update.. followed the instructions and WOW... I have latest update, rooted and no reboot problems. Thanks again everyone.
