Default [Q] Incredible S - display

Hi, I would like to buy an Incredible S, but one thing I am thinking is battery life. Is it worth it to change it for an HD2 ? I'm quite satisfied with it but I don't like the battery life wich is bad because of the Display 4,3 inch TFT and battery capacity of 1230mAh. I also would like some smaller device like IS.

So my question is. How long last the phone with brightness set to 50% in standby ? Has anybody tried it ? My HD2 last about 3 hours until it dies what is incredibly low.

thanks for answers

so you mean with screen on for 3 hours? being idle?

i wouldnt even try that... because of the risk of burning in the screen...
Signature(string Device) {
...if(Device = ("Xperia Z") {
......if(Firmware = Stock) {
.........AndroidOS = 4.1.2;
.........Status = BL-unlocked+ROOT;
......}
...}
...if(Device = ("ASUS Transformer Prime") {
......AndroidOS = 4.0.4 AOKP;
......Status = BL-unlocked+ROOT;
...}
...return MySignature;
}

next_device() { return "unknown"; }

yes exactly so. What? Burning in the screen ? Something like that is possible? Can't be. How would it differ to a screen on being not idle ? I mean when somebody use his phone whole 3 hours and do something like surfing etc then what would be the difference between his screen on and mine ?

I don't need to know exactly the time what it will last but around what would be my battery life when I would change from HD2 to IS. Because of that I am asking about the screen consumption because it sucks most of the battery...

There's a huge difference between leaving the screen on idle for several hours and using the phone for several hours. Although "Burn ins" doesn't happen on LCD displays (I don't recall), it is possible to get an "image persistance" which kind of creates a ghost image on the display. It's only a temporary problem but why take the risk? The Incredible S has a 1450 mAh battery, so theoretically it should be better than the HD2.

Yes I know that, but was just wondering how long would it last compare to my HD2 so another question wich you could know from every day use.

QUESTION : For how long is the display on when you put your phone on charger ? I mean from 100% to (0-20)%, with medium usage without navigating, or 3G.
With use of wifi, some browsing, listening to music, maybe playing a few minutes some game. How long from that time was your screen on ?

Could you or someone else tell me ?

The programs that are running in the background are sometimes more battery draining than the display.

From Nameit's HTC Incredible s using XDA app!

Display usually accounts for around 70% on my 'what's been using the battery'

I normally get about 4 to 5 hours of display time out of my phone over the course of a day. I have brightness set to about 25%.

Hello,

Googled for it few times but still no luck. I have Incredible S Red. HTC specified that it has Super LCD but why do the colors look like Incredible S has AMOLED screen? I noticed the same issue with older Desire devices which surely had AMOLEDs - reddish tint, not very vivid colors.
