Default [Video Turorial]- How To Root Your Milestone 2 (works for most android 2.2)

hi all, i stumbled upon this video and decided to share it with you guys. its quite a good video tutorial on how to root your phone.

FYI, this doesn't work on all Milestone 2 devices. The "RageAgainstTheCage" loophole was closed in some OS builds.

I had to use the One Click Root method to root my phone on Android 2.2.1.

Thanks for your feedback. I will look out and edit my post with a video tutorial on how to root the device via one click root for those devices affected by the closure of the RageAgainstTheCage

Installed using Root Explorer and set permissions for the camera.apk file same as other apps in the /system/app folder.

however im not sure if this is the stock camera.apk

It works on my Milestone 2, as I've jus' rooted it, running 2.2 Froyo (Stock Rom). Hopefully this isn't late advice, but either thanks for posting some instructions (being da tutorial & download links).

Thanks, z4root didnt work on my friends motorola milestone2, presumably because it was on froyo 2.2.1.

Successfully used superoneclick v2.2
Phone: Nexus 4; TWRP; CM10.1
Tablet: Nexus 7; TWRP; CM10.1
Previous devices: HTC Desire S + 4ext touch recovery + Andromadus CM10.1; HTC Legend + CWM + CM7.1
