messanging app force closing help

my phone froze a while ago so i pulled the battery and waited a bit and restarted my phone then i go to make a text and it just force closes both handcent and the regular messaging app help?

You were using a no-journaling ROM, you CANNOT pull the battery or improperly shutoff a no-journaling ROM or you'll have data corruption and Force Closes. Boot into clockworkmod and go into advanced then fix permissions, then try to boot. If that doesn't work then reflash your ROM and learn from this.

tried fixing permissions and failed... did learn...

Try clearing data in Mms.apk.
