Unhappy [Q] Nook Color Boot Loop Even with CWM bootable SD

Hi,

I've searched the forums but haven't found a solution to my problem. I rooted my Nook Color (1.1.0) using auto-nooter 3.0. Everything worked fine, then I tried to flash to CM7 using CWM. When I subsequently rebooted, the Nook goes into a boot loop where it never gets past the "Touch the Future of...." display before it reboots.

I've can't get into ADB because the unit reboots before I can get access. Also tried booting into CWM (3.0.0.5 and 3.0.1) on an SD Card. When I do this, it shows the "loading..." display for a few seconds then reverts to the boot cycle. Also tried nooter 0.2 but same result.

Tried doing 8 successive boot cycles by trying to turn it off before it reboots, but no luck.

I've noticed that others have had boot issues also, but it seems that everyone else has been able to eventually boot back into CWM via SD card.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would definitely appreciate the help.

Thanks.

I experienced this exact problem and never did get it working. I was running Nookie Froyo on SD with overclock when it suddenly started rebooting. Doesn't matter if the card is in or out, it gets to the point you describe and reboots. All of the "restore to stock' tricks failed because it keeps rebooting, even when booting into CWM from SD. I ended up replacing it with another new NC and put the the first one in storage hoping I someday figure out the problem. I've never found anyone else with quite this problem. I'll be anxiously watching this thread!

Not sure whether I should start to panic because you never got it working, or feel relieved because I am not the only one to experience this issue

You can add another person who is having this problem.

Yesterday I asked Rom manager to boot into recovery and that was all she wrote.

The nook gets through "Touch the future of reading," then the screen flashes for a fraction of a second before repeating the process again.

Holding 'n' and power while booting also has no affect; and it seems to ignore whatever is in the SD card slot.

Default Got it working!

Not exactly how this worked but here is what I did.

First off I used another SD Card Reader Although the idea of using another card reader doesn't seem to make sense; I had seen it on another forum.

I also Used a new uSD card

Used Win32DiskImage to burn the image to the uSD card (had been using DD on a linux box)

The images used was the Clockwork Recovery image (2GB,) look around and you should be able to find it.

I also copied the removeclockwork.zip
This should be available with a google search as well

From there it just worked like it was supposed to. The nook booted off the micro SD card and I used the removecwr.zip

Hope this helps
