Smile [How to] Dualboot Nook 1.2 Stock and (Insert ROM name here)

OK, my last guide sucked and wasn't detailed.

Here's another go.

Now, your going to need CWM installed, this:

http://www.mediafire.com/?bb7o66282bqfp6q

and a backup up of your first rom.

Remember the Backup!

Backed up?

Now go into CWM.

Go into Mounts & Storage.

Format system/data. There is a backup, right.....?

Now download this: http://www.mediafire.com/?kw3lrshy2umet7e

Now flash that. Boot into it and follow these instructions:
http://nookdevs.com/NookColor_Factor...Box_Experience

Skipped it?

Now root it by flashing the first file you downloaded.

It should now be rooted. Now download this:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20480343/ecl...hable-v0.2.zip

and this:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20480343/prep-dualboot-0.1.zip

Flash prep-dualboot-0.1.zip.

Now flash the eclair-to-dual-boot-blah.zip.

Now reboot holding the home button. Should boot stock.

Did it boot?

Yay! Stock on dual boot.

Now erase system.

Restore just data.

And restore system.

Like start advanced restore, and restore data.

It doesn't work like that.
You have to use a cwm sd card temporarily, until you can get back into an OS.
mkdir android ; cd android ; repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git ; repo sync ; make

You can, but once you get back to a normal OS (after getting the dual boot) reflash cwm.

But why do it on a phone?

And, you need CWM. Just need a bootable cwm card.
mkdir android ; cd android ; repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git ; repo sync ; make
