Default Dead Folio screen

So, earlier today I was watching a movie on my Folio. Everything was fine all running as usual. I put it down on the table, plug the charger in and turn of the screen. Half an our later when I try to turn the screen on again its all black. I restart the Folio, same result. I remove the battery for a couple of minutes and start the device, no luck there either. Any one ever experienced a similar problem or maybe know a solution to it?

Greatful for every advice

Does the display ever turn on??? I mean, if you cannot even see the Toshiba logo I don't think that your problem is software related?

You might want to open your folio and check if the hardware connector of the LCD panel is fitted correctly in its socket on the mainboard. I inadvertently unplugged it one time, as I was playing with folio's guts Maybe, your connector just got loose in time.

However, if you are going to try and open your folio, the connector should be placed in the upper part of the device, just between the webcam and the hardware keys. Yes, you will need small hands and some practice

I can feel the device starting since it's vibrating at start-up, 'only' problem is the screen is completely black. So it's not impossible that the screen connector is loose, I just don't see how it could have happend since I never have opened it myself

Well, I think I'm going to crack it open tomorrow and see what I can find

Right now I'm actually quite proud of myself cuse I managed to fix my Folio opened it up and saw that the screen connector was loose, so I put it back in place and now it works like a charm!

The connector was located in the bottom left corner of the device, not upper part

Well, it seems that I might have rotated my folio at that time . Indeed, the hint was ALMOST good, even if in a counter-clockwise style! xD
