when posting test results would be very useful if u state which mobile u're using and what software version.

i tried it with no luck. even the adb way. i restart and its the same old stupid gtalk app. Running G2 CM7

you need to fully uninstall the old Talk app first. Can you try something like Titanium backup ?

ill give that a shot now. so uninstall with titanium, then install with the .zip?

Okay, no luck. I uninstalled the old gtalk, but I cant get the new one to install even after applying the .zip. I also dont have a cable anymore so I cant ADB :/

I'm on Samsung Galaxy S, stock deoxed XWJVA GB 2.3.3.. i will try the Titanium Backup tips.. will report back asap.. Here are some quick Q's

Try using the zip it force closes when trying video or voice chat feature. I have no one to test it out with so I'm using my PC from another Google account I'm on cm7 7.0.2 mytouch 4g it start then force close.

What device and rom are you using b/c I want to see if this will work for me who is using a HTC Magic/Sapphire 32B with Ginger Yoshi RC7. Also did calls work both ways, like were you able to make and receive video calls or at least audio calls.
